Little Known Signs of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders

One of the biggest issues with perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum care) for new parents, is lack of clarity and follow-up around mental wellness and support for new parents. When you have a new baby, it seems like the focus shifts from new parents to baby.

It has been normalized that parenting is hard, and it is, but it shouldn’t feel so overwhelming and like such a struggle.

We need to get better than a single checkup at 6 weeks postpartum. Moms deserve more. Dads too! 1/10 new dads also suffer from mental health struggles after the arrival of a new baby.

Looking back at my postpartum experience, coupled with the the learning bestowed on my through additional perinatal mental health training, I would love to share with you some lesser known signs of postpartum perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
